Employee Spotlight | Meet Maria Isabel Moreno, Senior Designer at Leonisa USA.

How long have you been working for Leonisa?
I started working at Leonisa Colombia in 2006, before I finished my degree. They gave me the opportunity to study and work at the same time. Later, I moved to the USA, and I’ve been working here since 2017, so 8 years now.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?
I love everything about it, but the most important thing for me is the love and support I’ve received from this place, and this company, throughout the years. I feel truly valued, important, and very happy. This is my safe place.

What’s your favorite item we make and what do you like about it?
I love the PowerStay short – it’s my favorite piece. It represents the technology, fabric, and quality that Leonisa is known for.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always dreamed of being an architect. But I think graphic design and architecture have a lot in common – and, most importantly, they both require creativity, which has always excited me.

What’s your favorite way to relax and unwind?
Exercise, prayer, meditation, and cleaning my home! (It’s my favorite daily mindfulness activity.)

Do you have any life advice for our readers?
Yes! Without God, I wouldn’t be able to do anything. And without the amazing people I work with, I couldn’t do my job. Everyone around us helps make us better – both as people and as professionals.
